VITE.SH / GUIDE

Use vite.sh

Find a Vite plugin, install its exact dependency, then configure it from the published README.

NOT PUBLISHED @maxlee/vitesh is not published yet. The final install commands are shown for preparation.

01

Install the v command

Use Node.js ^20.19.0 or >=22.12.0. Install your project dependencies before running v so the installed Vite version can be resolved.

npm
npm install -g @maxlee/vitesh
pnpm
pnpm add -g @maxlee/vitesh
Yarn Classic
yarn global add @maxlee/vitesh
bun
bun add -g @maxlee/vitesh

02

Search and choose

Search packages, descriptions, keywords, frameworks, capabilities, compatible tools, and confirmed Vite versions.

03

Add an exact dependency

Run v add from the project root. Explicit conflicts are blocked; unknown compatibility requires confirmation. The current npm, pnpm, Yarn, Bun, or Vite+ project tool is used.

v add <name-or-package>[@version] [--root <directory>] [--yes] [--allow-scripts]
v add geov add @vitejs/plugin-react --yesv add vite-plugin-pwa@1.0.0 --root ./app

04

Configure from the README

vite.sh installs a devDependency only. It does not edit vite.config or claim the plugin is active. Follow the exact published-version README to import and configure it.

05

Keep installation controlled

Lifecycle scripts are disabled by default. Use --allow-scripts only when you have reviewed and accept the package scripts. --yes skips confirmation but never bypasses an explicit incompatibility.
